About us
Pro Sport Grappling was established in 2019. Along with our parent company Showtechs; we are the production and event team behind some of the biggest names in UK Combat Sports such as Polaris, Cage Warriors, Enyo Grappling, Meltdown MMA and The Arnold Games.
As well as owning an event production company we are also Bjj Black Belts and we've spent years travelling the globe on the competition circuit and concluded that most events fall way short of providing an acceptable platform to compete on. We knew we could do better than most of them. Check out our event video to see us in action HERE
At all our events you will find the following:-
- Internet based management system to keep the event on time and on schedule.
- Cash Prizes of up to £500 for Gi and NoGi Absolute divisions
- UK Ranking points for every podium place towards sponsorship for the top performing competitors and academies
- Smart Weigh-In system to fairly and accurately confirm weight, record weight and display results on large TV screens using your mobile phone and Smoothcomp barcode.
- Huge LED Wall displaying live schedule in-real time similar to an airport lounge screen so you can clearly see when your next match time is, what area you are on and when to report to weigh-in. All updated every 30 seconds.
All the above run through our own internet system which we set up at every event.
- Our own branded 8mx8m mat areas which is the IBJJF standard size. Unfortunately most other events use much smaller 5 or 6m areas which result in disruption of the match due to constant resets by the referee.
- Custom Podium & back drop
- Custom Medals
- Warm Up area and Bull Pen
- Giant TV Scoreboards on all areas
- Commercial metal crowd safety barriers with custom covers
- National level referees and officials
- Sports Specialist Paramedics
- Official event photographer
- Official event Videographer
- Filming and streaming of absolute divisions at selected events.
Using all of the above plus our technical background and our experience in producing grappling events we produced our first event; the Somerset Open in 2019. This was such a huge success we went on to establish regional championships in the South West, South East and Wales.
We offer two styles of events, our traditional championships which follow the IBJJF standard and rules for both Gi and NoGi. We also have our Pro series which is a much more modern format with rules that reflect current trends in the grappling world such as open class divisions with cash prizes. We also film and stream some pro event categories to our social media channels.
Here are just some of the great pictures we have of our events and the awesome people we have competing. There are hundreds more pictures on our Facebook page.
